BYRON, Ill. — The Highland Community College men's golf team added another championship to a historic fall season, capturing the 2026 Arrowhead Athletic Conference Championship at PrairieView Golf Club.

The Cougars posted rounds of 297, 287 and 307 to finish with a three-round total of 891 (+27) and secure the program's sixth Arrowhead Conference championship. The victory marks Highland's second conference title in the last three years and its fourth team championship of the 2026 fall season, setting a new program record for team victories in a single fall season.

Highland entered the final round with a commanding lead after a strong opening two rounds, highlighted by a second-round 287. The Cougars finished the job in Round 3 behind a balanced lineup that placed three golfers among the top four individually.

AJ Anderson led Highland with rounds of 74-70-76 for a 220 total and a second-place finish. Austin Dobbe followed closely, carding 75-72-75 to finish third at 222, while Jack Maharaj recorded rounds of 76-72-76 for a 224 total and fourth place.

The Cougars also received contributions throughout the lineup. Jake Maloret finished at 229 following rounds of 74-73-82, while Jonathan Huenink posted 74-80-80 for a 234 total. Kaden Brown finished at 238 with rounds of 77-81-80, and Griffin Blanch recorded an 80-82-85 for 247. Brock Brown opened with consecutive rounds of 77 before withdrawing from the final round.

The conference championship continues a historic run for Highland men's golf. With four team victories this fall, the Cougars have established a new program benchmark while also claiming their second Arrowhead Conference championship in three seasons and sixth overall.

With Anderson, Dobbe and Maharaj all finishing inside the top four, Highland capped the conference tournament with the team championship and three of the event's top individual performances.
