Plymouth, Indiana - The Highland Community College men's golf team delivered an impressive showing at the NJCAA Division II Fall Championship Preview, hosted at Swan Lake Golf Resort in Plymouth, Indiana—the site of the 2026 NJCAA DII National Tournament.
The Cougars came out strong on day one, posting a 285 to sit in a tie for second place against one of the most competitive fields of the fall. Highland followed with a 287 in round two and closed with a 293 in the final round, finishing at 865 (+1) for the tournament—just one shot out of second place.
The 16-team field featured some of the nation's top programs, including 2025 NJCAA DII National Champion Mississippi Gulf Coast, national runner-up Illinois Central College, and nine other teams that competed in last season's National Tournament. Highland's performance against such a deep and talented field further demonstrated the Cougars' ability to compete among the nation's best.
Four Cougars finished inside the top 25, led by Jake Maloret, who tied for 8th at two-under-par 214 with rounds of 72-71-71.
