Coach Heim is entering his 2nd year as the Head Women's Volleyball Coach with Highland. Heim, a native of Galena, IL, discovered his passion for volleyball as a student-athlete while playing as a Right Side Hitter for UW-Madison's Men's Club Volleyball Team. Heim then played two seasons for the UW-Platteville Men's Club team, and was named to the All-Scholar Athlete Team in 2015 as he finished obtaining his Master's degree. In April 2015, Heim helped the Pioneers place 5th in the nation at The NCVF National Tournament.
Once his collegiate playing career concluded, Heim and his now-wife Lauren moved to Monroe, WI where he works full-time as a Licensed K-5 School Counselor at Abe Lincoln Elementary.
Heim was granted his first opportunity to coach high school volleyball at the JV level right across the street from his elementary school at Monroe High School in 2017. Heim coached for four seasons before stepping up as the Varsity Assistant in the fall of 2021. Heim also experienced coaching a high school spring season that was delayed/abbreviated due to the COVID-19 pandemic cancelling fall competitions for Monroe. Since 2019, Heim has also coached two seasons of club volleyball for Novus Volleyball Academy, based out of Lena, IL.
Heim joined the coaching staff at Highland beginning in 2022 as a Co-Head Coach with Lindsay Stodden.
Heim currently resides in Monroe, WI with his wife Lauren, and works full-time as a K-5 School Counselor at Abe Lincoln Elementary.
