Highland Community College baseball is proud to announce that right-handed pitcher
Alex Lora has officially committed to continue his academic and athletic career at Southeast Missouri State University, an NCAA Division I program competing in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Lora has been a key member of the Cougars' pitching staff, earning a reputation for his competitiveness on the mound and his ability to take the ball in big moments. Lora carries with him a fastball that has been clocked up to 94 mph to compliment a curveball, slider and changeup.
As a freshman, Lora tallied 52 innings with complete game victories over Morton College, Black Hawk College and Sauk Valley College. "Lora has worked hard for this opportunity," said Head Coach Chance Sharp. "He's a guy who brings toughness, poise, and a love for the game. SEMO is getting a great competitor and an even better person."
This commitment reflects Alex's dedication, growth, and passion for the game. The Cougars are proud to have been part of his journey and can't wait to see what he accomplishes next at SEMO.
