Highland Cross Country competed in the Spartan Classic this past weekend. It was the first big meet for the program. The Spartan Classic was at the Northwestern Medicine XC Course in Batavia, IL and hosted by Aurora University. There were over 300 runners in attendance and the course featured some nice hills. Sara Johnson finished 74th and Mackenzie Engbert finished 144th in the Women's 6K Event, while Oliver Arndt finished 170th in the Men's 8K Event for the Cougars. They are now looking ahead to this weekend and working hard to get ready for the Tom Hoffman Invitational in Whitewater, WI.
